RSVP NonStick Scrubber - R42
Cleaning up is probably the least fun part of cooking, but unfortunately, it’s a necessity. So are there Cool Tools that make this easier or less unpleasant? We’ve tested several, and have found a few that we really like and want to bring to you…
We found and brought you the Chainmail Dishcloth and the Stainless Steel Scrubbie previously. But what do you do for non-stick surfaces? Our new favorite dish-cleaning tool for non-stick pans is the Nonstick Scrubber from RSVP.
The Nonstick Scrubber from RSVP has a 2-layer construction - a polyester sponge core, inside a polyester film with a woven aluminum outer coating. The aluminum exterior is the differentiator, when compared to the most commonly available Scotch Brite™ pads or sponge/pad combinations. This feature makes ‘scrubbing’ with the Nonstick Scrubber less aggressive on your surfaces and yet more effective in cleaning. It is also both more durable (the knives you’re washing won’t slice into it easily) and longer lasting than Scotch Brite, and easier to clean thoroughly.
It works well on non-stick surfaces, cast iron, steel, glass, porcelain, glazed bakeware, and baking/grilling sheets (when necessary, after a thorough soaking), without scratching those surfaces (or damaging the cure on your cast iron or steel cookware). The Scrubber is made to be used with water, and the core is a champ at holding liquid soap, to make it even more effective at cleaning. Its flexibility - the sponge core makes it foldable and squeezable - allows it to reach into and around all the edges and corners of your pots and pans. The Scrubber should always be rinsed and drained between uses and it is dishwasher safe for a thorough cleaning.
In short, this is a well designed, highly functional cleanup tool for those tough cleaning tasks on delicate non-stick (and other) surfaces! Definitely a Cool Tool!
