The non-skid base helps stabilize the pitcher while you are mixing ingredients. It is both dishwasher and microwave safe, which means you can melt your butter or chocolate in the microwave in the same bowl you use to mix them. Add to that a 4 cup capacity, a round shape that makes mixing easy, even with a whisk, easily readable measurement markings in cups, ounces and milliliters, and you have the whole package.
