You know how tough it is when you’re almost at the bottom of your favorite jar of almost anything: whether it’s mustard or preserves or some other delicious condiment, if you can see that there is still some in the jar, then you don’t want to waste any of it. We buy a wonderful truffle mustard that we use only a little at a time, so that last bit is one or maybe even two more servings. But spoons, or even the smallest of spatulas, just can’t retrieve all of that last little bit. But now there is a very cleverly designed, highly effective and inexpensive device that does this job … in short: a wonderful Cool Tool!
The Norpro Last Drop is a slim function-driven design: it’s about 9” overall, with a 7½” stainless steel rod connecting two different highly-flexible silicone “scoop-ulas” on each end. The larger of these holds approximately ½ teaspoon in a 1¼” long bowl, and the other has a ½” wide blade that is highly effective in maximizing the yields in the final moments of your jar. These scoop-ulas will allow you to reach under the rim, down the sides, across and around the bottom, and into the corners--nothing can hide from these food-seeking appendages. And when you’re not using it, it stashes in your drawer or tool crock, taking up almost no space.
