The Sharple, from our friends at Dreamfarm, changes the banal vision of ‘peelers’ into a new reality, in two fundamental ways.

First, its internal ceramic sharpener assures that, after every use, the blades of your peeler are honed to operational effectiveness: each time that you open or close the Sharple cover, the ceramic ball hones the blades in preparation for its next use. In the same way that you care for your knives (you do, of course?), the Sharple assures that you have a sharp set of blades ready for their next use!

Second, the sharpening feature is activated by the opening & closing of the protective cover, which assures that those sharp blades will not lead to injuries, to your fingertips or those of little helpers whom you might engage in learning the early stages of sous-cheffing!-) Dishwasher safe for easy cleanup.

This is definitely a Cool Tool: it includes the traditional ‘potato eye peeler’ together with its always sharp blades for long-life efficiency and safety in storage … great design for maximum functionality, for one the most basic of kitchen tasks.
