Cool Tip: A Box, a Can and a Jar... Soup
- Jun 23, 2015
This tip is for those of you lucky enough to have a Trader Joe’s nearby or maybe in the vicinity in the near future. The rest of you are welcome to keep reading, but you may get envious!
Trader Joe’s always serves a little bite of something in the back of the store. It’s usually made with a couple of their products and it’s usually quite palatable but not overly exciting. But I always sample, because I keep hoping that I’ll find something that blows me away. Well, the other day I did, and it couldn’t be simpler. It was made from a box, a can and a jar.
The “box” is Trader Joe’s Organic Tomato & Roasted Red Pepper Soup; the “can” is Trader Joe’s Organic Black Beans (drained and rinsed a little); and the “jar” is Trader Joe’s Corn and Chile Tomato-less Salsa.
And the result is so much greater than the sum of its parts...sweet, spicy, a little smokey, and totally delicious! You just mix one container of each, heat it up, dish it out and…
Enjoy!
